In 2024, MAHE Dubai’s School of Design & Architecture (SoDA) hosted the Manipal International Symposium on Design (MiSD) with Edinburgh Napier University. The hybrid gathering – on campus and online – brought academics and industry together to explore how architecture intersects with technology.

That conversation didn’t stop at the symposium. It moved into drafts, peer review, and editorial work. The result is now published: Open House International (Q1 Scopus, Emerald Publishing) has released the Special Issue “Architecture and Technology: Challenges and Opportunities.”
